Garnier Color Sensation My Review

I received this box of hair color from influenster and even though I don’t usually use box dye, I was ready for a change so I decided to give it a chance. I got the color “where there’s smoke.” It’s a deep red color. The box comes with 20vol developer, the cream color, conditioner, a tint brush, gloves and instructions.

On to the process.

Unlike most box dyes the smell wasn’t as harsh as usual. When I started to apply it it went on light and began to have a copper color look to it. I’m not fond of the copper look but I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.

It looks so dark…

It took me about 15 mins to apply and I let it on for 10 more minutes after my application. Then I headed to the shower to rinse it out. After towel drying it. It just seemed so dark to me. I can totally get that I had a bit of faded green/blue, but I also had a significant amount of blonde hair as well. So I got out my wet to dry flat iron and dried my hair after the fact I looked at my hair in my ring light under natural light and any light I could look at it under.

I hate it!

In now way is this color red. It is a brown/burgundy color. While some people may like it, I on the other hand do not. I will be getting a color remover this week to pull out as much color as possible. I do not recommend this or any box dye if you are wanting to go red. Just go to the salon or if you know what you are doing go to Sally’s and get whatever you need to go red.

Ummmm totally not the same color. I have t used box dye since I was a kid, but at least the color was close!! I had to look up the color remover, I honestly had no idea you could do that at home 😳
