Cleaning Makeup Brushes Just Got Easy

Cleaning makeup brushes can be so tedious.

Whether you have just one small set or a large set. It seems like it takes forever just to get them clean and then you have to wait hours for them to be dry and ready to be used again. It’s a never ending cycle. I know I’m not the only one who has neglected cleaning my brushes, or waited long times in between each cleaning.

There has got to be a better way.

I have tried hanging my brushes for a quicker dry I’ve tried rubbing them on a towel or paper towel hoping to get out the excess water and still having to wait till the next day. Trying to dry them with a blow dryer on cool mode… ugh it’s downright annoying af.

Looking and hoping and thinking and praying..

I have always been on the lookout for a way to clean and dry my brushes quicker. I’ve seen bunny from Grav3yardgirl try some large “automatic brush washer” it seemed ridiculous and so large and bulky. In the last few months I have been window shopping on Amazon. (Because I am always on the lookout for good products for good deals) I saw a brush washer and dryer. Honestly I thought it was too good to be true, but after sitting on it for a few months I finally decided to get one.

What is this ingenious product?

I got the brand rubydot. It had a coupon code that cut the price down a bit so I hopped right on that. When I got it I was, well pretty damn excited. I set everything up and got down to business. I filled up the bowl with water and my fave brush cleaner. Put a brush in one of the rubber holders attached it to the battery powered spinner and let it rip. (See video below)

It’s so easy to use

It took me a lot of trial and error to figure it out, with the big brushes at least. I had a couple of splatter accidents that made me laugh out loud at myself. It truly is easy, it’s cut the wait time for using my brushes down to hardly anything at all. Usually it takes me an hour or so to wash all my brushes and sometimes up to 14+ hours for them to dry. In just one hour I had all my brushes washed and dry and ready to go.

My only issue with it, is that when you wash your brushes i still recommend using a brush mat to really get them deep cleaned before rinsing in the bowl and drying.

If you don’t have one of these you are missing out, so go on find one you really like and buy it!
