I have reached a stand still with my current hair. I had just got out of the shower and looked in the mirror and wanted to cry. It seemed so dark and so dull. I wanted to keep it purple, but it needed to be lighter. I waited a day and I got down to it. I had a packet of Jocio Color Eraser. I’ve never used this for semi color removal, but I thought what the heck. When I first put it in my tint bowl, I thought, “this seriously looked like blue bleach powder. When I added the developer it definitely smelled like bleach, but I was going to either use this or do a bleach wash. So I went with it. It took me about 15 minutes to apply. Once I started the application the smell wasn’t as intense as it was in the bowl. It also basically applied like a bleach. I left it on for the maximum amount of time (30 minutes) and rinsed. I was surprised that my hair didn’t feel damaged afterward. So while it seemed similar to bleach it didn’t leave my hair feel dry or crunchy like it does when I use bleach. After what I was left with was bright yellow blonde roots and a silver/lavender/blue ends. It was light enough so I blow dried my hair and moved on to my next step.I used ion brilliant brights magenta and put it all along my roots and the rest of my hair I mixed ion radiant orchid and magenta to cover the rest of my hair. I put on a shower cap and let my hair process for 2 and a half hours. I had my fingers crossed the whole time.
2 hours later
I was super exactly as I rinsed off the final step. When I looked in the mirror, I saw just what I wanted bright roots fading to purple/Violet ends. I used my wet to dry straighter to dry and straighten it so I could see what it looked dry.
I have achieved what I wanted with my hair and the whole process took only 5 hours. Disclaimer: I am not a professional. I am not encouraging anyone to do their own hair especially if they don’t know what they are doing. I will always recommend going to a stylist to get the fashion colors that you want so you don’t damage your hair.
